Dear Student and Parent,

We welcome any and all donations on behalf of our students. The items on this list will be used during the regular school day for instruction and non-instructional purposes. They may be brought from home on a voluntary donation basis; otherwise, they will be furnished by the school. Cash donations are also accepted to help fund fieldtrips, other educational activities or to purchase instructional resources for our students. Cash donations in any amount under $250 may be accepted at the school office. Donations over $250 need to go through the Weber School Foundation indicating Hooper Elementary as the benefitting school.

Things to look forward to:

  • Developing skills in algebra and more advanced concepts of geometry.
  • Having the opportunity to go to Lagoon, participate in a dance, and play in the faculty/6thgrade softball game.

** Reminder **

Before leaving 5thgrade, students who wanted one were given a math packet to complete and the assignment to earn the Superintendent Summer Reading Award (10 books on level, or 1,000 pages). It is expected that these will be completed and turned in on the first day of school before the second bell rings.

As you can see, you will be very busy learning lots of new things and participating in many exciting activities. I am looking forward to seeing you and having a great year!

Sincerely,

The Sixth Grade Team
