Welcome- Kari Breeding

Minutes approved- Becca Buck

School Data- Last year we were a B school, no grades were given for schools this year, but Hooper would be a B school again.  Achievement- Commendable; Growth- Exemplary, ELA- 67%, Math and Sci 71%.  We want to improve our Early Literacy, but the scores were still up.  Mrs. Breedings job- support grades that need more work.  Hooper surpassed area schools, including Quest.  

Panorama Survey- how students feel about their school

  • Up in most things
  • Student teacher relationships down 9, still good, but we’d like to know why the dip
  • Parents can get their own student’s panorama Survey

 

Budget: Trustland, started at 93, 200 we are at 80,280- 6500/month on aids

TSS- 128000 start, we are at 101,000- 4600/month aid pay

 

Business:

 

Collective Teacher Efficacy, 

$700/teacher for PLC conf on Collective Teacher Efficacy

John Haddy (researcher)- Highly effective Teacher strategies: 1- Collective teacher efficacy, 2 Parent involvement, 3 tracking practices.  

 

PLC team:  Data- Goal-Teach-Learner/Performance-Assess and Adjust- Data

 

PTA- Great Veterans day assembly

 

Boundaries: Hooper will be losing all student north of 4000 S.  No buses for boundary variance kids in Davis County.
